Chai Ling had a profound experience of transformation. Ever since Ling was a young woman in China, she has felt called to help the Chinese people. In 1989, her leadership in the Tiananmen Square protests propelled her into notoriety and she was forced into exile and relocated to the United States. During this time her heart still beat for China and she wondered how she could help from such a distance. It was then that she opened herself up to Jesus. Now Chai Ling understands her role in God's greater mission, and she challenged participants at Urbana12 to join him as well.
