On June 4th, 2014, church leaders and friends of All Girls Allowed gathered in Boston to remember the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre through prayer, musical worship and reflection. On this same day in 1989, the streets of Tiananmen Square were bathed in the blood of those who courageously sought truth and who dared to hope for a better China. Chai Ling, founder of All Girls Allowed and former Tiananmen Square student commander-in-chief, shared about her experience at Tiananmen Square and her journey to faith that led her to found All Girls Allowed. The meeting concluded by highlighting the One-Child Policy, gendercide in China, and what All Girls Allowed is doing to combat injustice. As God’s people continue to join together in prayer for freedom in China, may God move past the darkness of China’s past and present towards a future of hope, healing and freedom in Jesus’ name.
